Information we collect

When you use EVTransition, we collect information you provide directly — such as your vehicle preferences and driving habits — and information collected automatically, such as app usage data, crash reports, and device type. If you sign in, we collect the name and email address provided by Apple Sign In. We do not collect financial information; all in-app purchases are handled by Apple.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Provide and improve the EVTransition app and website
• Personalise your experience (e.g. remembering your vehicle preferences)
• Diagnose technical issues and improve app stability
• Send service communications where you have opted in
• Comply with our legal obligations

Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely using Firebase (Google Cloud), hosted within the European Economic Area. We apply industry-standard technical measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

• Apple Sign In — for authentication. Apple's privacy policy applies to data handled by Apple during sign-in.
• Apple App Store — for payment processing. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
• Firebase (Google) — for database storage and app analytics.

We do not use third-party advertising networks or tracking pixels.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share data with service providers who help us operate the app (listed above), and where required by law. We will never share your personal data for marketing purposes.

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict processing of your data
• Data portability (receive your data in a machine-readable format)

Data retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory reasons.

EVTransition is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or by email. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
